There was once a time when we used to post every little bit of news we could think of. Here's proof! Feel free to read as much as you want, but we're just keeping this mass of text for archival (and nostalgic) purposes.

Wow, it's definitely been a while since I've said anything. I have not abandoned the project, and I am still aiming for a summer release. I'm hoping to have some sort of deadline soon, but I really don't want to let people down, so I will wait a little longer. I am basically done with all of the HTML and CSS scripting, and am now doing the heavy-duty PHP/SQL and some AJAX to make it look pretty. There was actually a period of about a month where I didn't have access to my host to work on the site, but I am doubling my efforts to make up for it. Even though school has ended, I am still very busy learning to drive. The other staff members are busy with jobs (for the older ones) and summer activities (for the younger ones). Because SilkyBob has been working at a movie theater, he's been able to get into Hancock (PG13, 2008) for free. Check out his review, which was sent to me today!

Well, it looks as if we forgot to post anything for a whole month again. Sorry about that; I'm still working on the redesign and forget to post here from time to time. I've been really busy recently with the ACT, SAT, and various AP tests that are coming up this week. Coding and graphic design is moving along, albeit very slowly, and I am still hoping for a summer release of version 3.0. Please forgive me if I don't post much until then. Thanks for helping us reach the 4000 friend mark!

Sorry that I didn't include much in my post yesterday. Over the past few days I haven't really had an internet connection due to phone problems. I now have about 150 Freewebs messages to read and reply to. I'll probably take an hour over the weekend to knock them all out in one sitting. Anyways, the site's third birthday is coming up, and I don't really have anything planned! I guess I'll just release some screenshots of the new look unless I can come up with something better. Sorry about the lack of updates again. I haven't really had time to post recently, partly because I'm currently getting over a cold. I had to post something for the month, however, so I'm putting up Irish Monkey's review for Bioshock (M). As for the new layout, I have designed the basic format but have yet to put the pieces together to make a functional site. All of my helpers have virtually vanished as far as I know, and so I am basically working on my own from now on. I'm now shooting to be finished during the summer (possibly by the end of June?)

After only about three months, we have finally hit the two thousand Freewebs Friend mark! I guess that's another Freewebs first to add to our list of accomplishments. How odd that it's been almost exactly one year since we were featured (for the second of three times) on the Freewebs home page. Check the archives page if you don't believe us! Anyways, today is also a cause for celebration because we hit the 10,000 page view mark on our Freewebs Profile. It's amazing how good things happen in groups like this. If you were wondering, there will not be a Freewebs Party for this occasion, because we're saving all of our parties until we're done with the new site layout (and by then we'll probably have three thousand friends!)

Well, I stumbled on a strange error in our Comics pages. If you didn't realize, the background for the comics is supposed to be black, but for some reason it has been showing up white this whole time! I can't imagine how long it's been sitting there unfixed like that. I've fixed them all by hand, since the coding was quite outdated. Don't forget, this is just temporary anyways, the new format will not even resemble what is here for now. A holiday template is on the way!

Hey everyone, it's Tusserte again. Just a quick update: I didn't want to be outdone by Irish Monkey, so I took a break from coding the new template to write a review for Live Free or Die Hard (PG13, 2007). The glitches in the template are all smoothed out (I've given out a few sneak peeks to friends to be sure), so I'm basically just working on transferring all of the information into the new format. Instead of releasing the template, I'm planning on releasing it on a certain date for a certain reason. I won't explain why until it happens, so keep your eyes peeled and be ready for some big changes.

Your favorite Monkey here. Well, the site has been a ghost town, due to large amounts of school work, and on some people's parts (SilkyBob), total uncaring. Plus, I just returned from France, my 3rd favorite country. I'll try to pull some pictures off of some sites and off of my friends, but that probably won't happen. Sorry guys and gals. But! If you do ever find yourself on an Air France flight, make sure to play Tik Rak Toe, the French version of Connect Four. The beauty of the French one is that it has power ups! Well, that's really all I have to say right now. All of the review staff will be incapacitated for a while, due to a family reunion! Oh, and I'll also pick up the work load now that Arlington Public Schools are on summer vacation. So expect to see reviews (I've already written two), and just say nope to dope. Here's a cool new idea: a Universal Rating system. Using this, we can all give more accurate ratings. A guide will be coming up eventually on a Help page, but that'll be when the new format is finished. Just now, I have done my best changing my ratings to suit the new system, and SilkyBob and Irish Monkey have as well. Well, one review for me. Some of the bigger, more visible site updates have been postponed. Those particular updates will be done separately and added all at once. Expect them within a month (which was going to be too long to keep this site all dismantled, so we're working on that privately).

Okay, this is Tusserte again, sorry I took a little break there. Bad Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (I know, right?). Now, to address the matter of Site Reviews. The reason why we haven't (and probably never will) review websites is the fact that the internet offers such a wide variety of topics that there really is no way to give a website just one little rating (e.g. #/10). Also, we do not believe in hurting people's feelings, which may happen if we were to give a website a review they didn't particularly like. Because of these reasons (and the fact that we simply do not have enough time to do it), we regret to say that for now, Site Reviews are not a possibility.

Today I wrote a new review. The staff is also taking on a new challenge: we're trying to remember the dates that we wrote all of the reviews we have written. This is because we are now dating our reviews! If we don't remember when we wrote them, we are updating them and setting the date to the day we updated them. Today SilkyBob and I did another site update, so that all movies and games have a list at the bottom of the review stating all of the sequels that we know about. Also, all of the lists that already existed have been updated to include the ESRB ratings for the games and MPAA ratings and production years for movies. Also, we each wrote one new review.

Today, I wrote a new review, posted a new comic by Zebrati, and updated the Games page. The games now have their own ratings (if you open their windows). SilkyBob also updated the Archives page to include all of the old entries.

The new site format is finally finished! There are now more pages and features, including an Archives page. Also, I fixed the Games page because it wasn't working (as usual). Just to tell you, I am going to be upgrading all of my Game Reviews to include more about the plots (don't expect anything from the others!)

SilkyBob and I teamed up over the last week and did some research for a site update. It took a long time to post the update because I had a lot of homework. The update involves the ESRB ratings for all of the video game reviews and PC games now have a list at the bottom of the review that includes the names of all the expansion packs. Happy birthday Margrock!
